Emma Rowe & The State of Play: Public Education in Australia, Policy and Practice

This event will feature Emma Rowe, an ARC DECRA Fellow and Senior Lecturer in Education at Deakin University in Victoria, Australia. She is a recipient of an Australian Research Council Discovery Early Career Researcher Award (DECRA) 2021-2024, and she is studying venture philanthropy in public education. Emma is a Fulbright Scholar and has recently completed a residency at the Center for Education Policy at Indiana University. Her work examines public education, school choice and school segregation in Australia and globally. Emma’s work is regularly featured in leading Australian media, including newspaper, radio and television.
