The Yale American Indian Science and Engineering Society (yAISES) is bringing two Indigenous scientists and engineers to Saybrook College to speak to STEM students on campus about diversity in technology and broader science fields.
Zach Oxendine, who is currently at Microsoft, works with the White House and founded the nonprofit Pursuit of STEM to elevate diversity in STEM education. Danielle Forward, who is ex-Meta, founded Natives Rising (https://www.joinnativesrising.com/) to increasing Native women in the technology industry through educational support.
This event will take place in Saybrook’s Head of College House on November 13th at 4:00 PM. Yale Education Studies is a co-sponsor.
