Craig Canfield (he/him) is Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion for an educational technology company and a lecturer in Education Studies and WGSS at Yale. He holds a BA in Biblical Studies from Hope International University, an MAR in Religious Ethics from Yale Divinity School, and an EdD in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies & a Graduate Certificate in Women’s and Gender Studies from Southern Connecticut State University. Research interests include diversity, equity, & inclusion practices, leadership in higher education, leadership theory, and queer and feminist theory. His dissertation, The Paradox of Queer Leadership: Leading toward the Margins in Higher Education, proposes a new theory of leadership based on queer theory that centers inclusive practices and serving diverse communities. Craig has nearly 12 years of administrative experience in higher education and an extensive background in creating inclusive policies.
