Lucía Cores Harg ('26)

“Education had always been my favorite conversation topic, and also what all the initiatives I was passionate about came back to. When I arrived at Yale, I realized this was a field of study I could pursue. And I’m so happy I did! Now, this is what I hope to do in life!”
Lucía Cores Harg (she / her) is a junior from Spain & Sweden, who calls Pauli Murray college home here at Yale. Lucía is an Environmental Studies major pursuing the intensive education studies certificate. Education has always been her favorite conversation topic, and Lucía remembers being so excited to learn she could continue following her passion in this field at Yale. Her favorite class here at Yale has without a doubt been Child Development, taught by Carla Horwitz and Ann Close.
Through this course, Lucía spent time observing children at Calvin Hill Daycare, an experience which helped her realize she wants to continue teaching children in this age group.
In the future, Lucía hopes to continue pursuing early childhood education, environmental education, and comparative international education.
